Humaira Bilkis is an internationally acclaimed filmmaker. She’s focused to explore the complexity of human relationship predominantly through observational approach. She continues her unique style as currently, Visions du Reel has premiered her first feature length creative documentary titled Things I Could Never Tell My Mother, based on her relationship with her mother in the changing context of Bangladeshi society. This film has been selected in the prestigious section Best of Fests of IDFA 2022. Her previous film Garden of Memories was based on the migrated tea garden labours’ life and pathos. Her student diploma film I Am Yet to See Delhi was awarded Special Mention at the Yamagata International Documentary Film Festival.
