Born in Poland, in Bydgoszcz 28th August 1971 Marcin Sauter Studied at Polish Film School in Lodz. He Graduated from Andrzej Wajda Master School of Film in Warsaw. Marcin Sauter is a photographer, a member of Polish Art Photographers Association, and a documentary film director.

The French documentary film The Arrivals was screened at the Jihlava IDFF 2010. At the end of the festival, it was selected as the best film of the travelling Doc Alliance Selection, winning the prestigious Doc Alliance Award.
