Petr Hátle was born in 1983 in Prague. After studies at Faculty of Philosphy and Art of Charles University in Prague he applied for Departement of Doumentary Film at FAMU. He is director of several short and middle length documentaries e.g. Hiltonleaving (2006) or Návštěvníci pevnosti (2006). His work was recently awarded by special prize at festival of Czech films Finále Plzeň 2008. Film magazine Cinepur chose his short film Advent as the best Czech student work of the year 2010.
