Biographie

Emmanuelle de Riedmatten was born in 1954 in Sion. In 1985 she received degree in Ethnology from University of Neuchâtel. She is also trained nurse. After few years she began to work in the film industry as a assistant director to Francis Reusser. She moved from that position to production assistant, co-screenwriter, casting director, co-director, scriptwriter, film editor and director. Together with Francis Reusser she found the independent film production company Le CinéAtelier SARL.

The French documentary film The Arrivals was screened at the Jihlava IDFF 2010. At the end of the festival, it was selected as the best film of the travelling Doc Alliance Selection, winning the prestigious Doc Alliance Award. After its successful festival tour, the film opens the doors to a place where the clash of civilizations is a daily routine to online spectators as well.
