Theo Stich was born in 1960 in Stans, Switzerland. He studied history, philosophy and German literature at the University of Basel. He worked as an assistent at the the archive for contemporary history, technical university of Zurich ETH and journalist for Swiss television SF DRS in Zurich.He has become independent filmmaker and producer of documentary films since 1996. In 2004 he founded LUMENFILM, production company specialized on documentary films about historical, social and political issues.
