Biography

Sascha Lara Bleuler was born in 1977 in Zürich Switzerland. After completing her high school education she studied acting at the Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute in New York in 1999. A year later she continued her studies in Paris, also following the method of Stanislawski and Strasberg. Back home, Bleuler studied Cinema, English and French Literature at the University of Zürich, receiving her Master of Art degree in 2005.
Today, she is working as an actress for film and theatre, while also teaching acting, English, and cinema studies at various schools. Sascha Lara Bleuler also works as a film critic and festival coordinator.

A documentary film about army cooks and how the everyday needs of thousands of armed stomachs affect the victories and defeats of statesmen. About the field kitchen as a model of a world where food preparation becomes a fight strategy; a fight for great ideals standing on strong legs of the kitchen table. The film is based on eleven recipes of the cooks since the Second World War till the war in Tchechenia; from France through the Balkans to Russia.
