Biographie

Håvard Bustnes graduated from Lillehammer College of TV & Cinema and NTNU. He founded Faction Film with Dag Hoel in 2003, and since then he has been working as a film director. He has directed documentaries for NRK, TV2, SVT (Sweden) and YLE (Finland) and several commercials. Big John is Håvard’s first feature-length documentary for theatrical release. The film received prize for the best documentary at the Film Festival in Grimstad, the Amanda award at the Norwegian Film Festival, and the first prize at Nordic Panorama in Malmö 2008.

Chinese or Mongolian?

The French documentary film The Arrivals was screened at the Jihlava IDFF 2010. At the end of the festival, it was selected as the best film of the travelling Doc Alliance Selection, winning the prestigious Doc Alliance Award. After its successful festival tour, the film opens the doors to a place where the clash of civilizations is a daily routine to online spectators as well.
