Biography

Karin Jurschick was born in 1959 in Essen, Germany. She studied theater, film and television at the University of Cologne. She si co-founder of the international women’s film festival Feminale in Cologne and worked for five years as editor for culture for the Stadtrevue Cologne monthly magazine; since then, she has been a writer for radio and television. She started her career of documentary film director in 2000.

In 1974, the woman committed suicide. In 1997, I saw the man for the first time again. He was still living in the same apartment he had moved into with his wife and child 41 years ago. The apartment had remained virtually unchanged. The man is my father.
