Biographie

Frederico Lobo was born in 1981 in Porto. He studied Sound and Image at Universidade Católica do Porto. In 2006 attended the Ateliers Varan documentary course in the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, during which he directed Entre Tempos. Since 2008 he has been collaborating with TERRATREME production company. He co-directed film Bab Sebta with Pedro Pinho – co-founder of the company. With the same colleague and Luísa Homem he co-directed the short film Zone d’Attente #00. He is currently preparing the documentary Industrial Revolution, co-directed with Tiago Hespanha.

The French documentary film The Arrivals was screened at the Jihlava IDFF 2010. At the end of the festival, it was selected as the best film of the travelling Doc Alliance Selection, winning the prestigious Doc Alliance Award. After its successful festival tour, the film opens the doors to a place where the clash of civilizations is a daily routine to online spectators as well.
