Biographie

François Bovy was born in 1968 in Puidoux. He studied at DAVI (Département d'Audiovisuel de l'École Cantonale d'Art de Lausanne, Bussigny) where he received diploma in audiovisual directing in 1994. After that he has made the cinematography of several documentaries, like Connu de nos services, La bonne conduite directed by Jean-Stéphane Bron. He is preparing at this time a feature screenplay and works as a cinematographer on numerous documentaries and television reports.

Chinese or Mongolian?

The French documentary film The Arrivals was screened at the Jihlava IDFF 2010. At the end of the festival, it was selected as the best film of the travelling Doc Alliance Selection, winning the prestigious Doc Alliance Award. After its successful festival tour, the film opens the doors to a place where the clash of civilizations is a daily routine to online spectators as well.
