Nadia Josefine El Said was born in 1977 and grew up in the Southern suburbs of Copenhagen. She spent most of her childhood daydreaming, or with her head buried in books and comics. At some point she decided to put the books aside, and started drawing. In 2002 she graduated as Director of Animation from The National Danish Filmschool. In her films she mixes live-action, graphics, fiction & documentary. Curiosity of the world that surrounds her, personal relationships and identity are basic themes in her work. Besides film, she works with art, sound and textbased projects.
