Biography

Maria Frycz was born in 1981 in Zielona Góra, Poland. After studying photography in Poznan in Poland, she finished her Master degree at Media Department of Kunstakademie Münster in Germany and passed a postgraduate diploma at Ecole Nationale des Beaux Arts, Lyon. She deals with time-based images, such as film and photography. In her short experimental films and installations she relates to concepts of storytelling, memories and dreams. With super 8 film and photographic animation she tells stories possessed by nonlinear temporalities form somewhere between past and future.
