Biography
Karim Aïnouz’s first feature film, Madame Satã, premiered in 2002 at Cannes Film
Festival, un certain Regard. Suely in the Sky, his second feature, premiered at
Venice Film Festival, Orizzonti, in 2006. His installations have been shown in the
Whitney Museum of american art Biennial (1997) and the são Paulo Biennial
(2004). Karim worked as a scriptwriter for Marcelo Gomes´ feature debut Cinema, Aspirins and Vultures. He has recently finished, Alice, a TV series for HBO Latin America.
