Biography
Pia Andell was born in 1964 in Finland. She graduated both from University of Industrial Arts (Fine Arts) and University of Tampere (Social Sciences) in Finland. She has worked in the Finnish Film Foundation as a film consultant and in the Finnish Broadcasting Company as a producer for short documentaries. Currently she works as a tutor on European Documentary Network EDN. The films of Pia Andell have been shown and awarded on many internationally renowned festivals, like IDFA, Prix Europa, BANFF and Nordisk Panorama. Since 2004, she runs her own production company Of Course My Films. She is also a ridiculously proud mother of two daughters.
