Biography

Elke Hauck was born in Riesa in Germany in 1967. She was an apprentice bookbinder before taking up studies at the College of Fine Arts in Dresden and subsequently studying German language and literature and art pedagogy at Leipzig University from 1987-1992. Since 1993 she has worked as a camera assistant, editor and assistant director. She studied directing at the German Film and Television Academy (dffb) in Berlin from 1994-2002.
