Heshmat Sharog Manesh was born in Iran but moved when Ayotollah Khomeini came to power and has lived in the Netherlands since. He is married to Jet Homoet with whom he directed his sister’s wedding in Iran.

He has lived in the Netherlands for over 25 years.
