Dana Budisavljević was born in 1975 in Zagreb, Croatia. Graduated from Academy of Drama Arts, Department of Film and TV Editing. Worked as editor, director and producer of creative documentary films and TV series. She is co-founder of ZagrebDox Documentary Film Festival, lounched in 2005. In 2006, Dana founded Hulahop Film and Art Production together with a colleague Olinka Vištica.
