Biography

Studied filmmaking at the Ateliers Varan and the UK National Film and Television School. Made films in the Balkans, the UK, and the Middle East. Among his recent recognitions are Best Central and East European Documentary at Jihlava IDFF 2012, Best Documentary at London Short Film Festival 2012, Cottbus Discovery Award at Filmfestival Cottbus 2011 (for Mirage) and Best Balkan Documentary at Dokufest 2011 (for A Letter to Dad).

"Hey Dad, you died suddenly." The filmmaker, trying to make sense of the way his father chose to die, opens several boxes, all that is left behind. The forgotten photos, letters and home videos take the film back to the 1970s Yugoslavia, when his parents became lovers.
