Maite Alberdi has a degree in Social Communication and is a graduate of the Catholic University of Chile with a degree in Aesthetics and Audiovisual Direction. As director, she is noted for a strong author signature that achieves an intimate portrait of the characters she develops, relating daily stories in small worlds. She teaches documentary filmmaking at different universities in Santiago, Chile and is co-author of the book “Teorias del Cine Documental Chileno 1957-1973” (Chilean Documentary Film Theories 1957-1973). At present, she is working in the post-production of her second feature film, “La Once”.

Mauricio is a lifeguard who tries to steer clear from getting in the water, he believes that a good professional applies preventive measures to stop people from drowning. The problem is that those who come to the beach in the summer want to forget that during the year someone tells them what to do. Nobody wants to do what they’re told and he doesn’t want to risk his life for them.
