Carlo Shalom Hintermann (Italy)

Carlo Shalom Hintermann (Italy, 1974) starts his career by directing several shorts film before the documentaries: OTAR IOSSELIANI (1999), ROSY-FINGERED DAWN: A FILM ON TERRENCE MALICK (2002) and CHATZER: INSIDE JEWISH VENICE (2004). He directed the animated short H2O (2007) with ‘Studio Brutus’. His latest credits includes him producing and partially directing the Italy Unit of Terrence Malick';s TREE OF LIFE (Palm d'Or Cannes Film Festival 2011). He is co-founder of the production company Citrullo International with Luciano Barcaroli, Gerardo Panichi and Daniele Villa. He also works as composer and musician.
