Born in Liege in 1969, Jerôme le Maire began studying journalism and communication at the Free University of Brussels and then started to study for a degree in film-making at the 'Institut des Arts de Diffusion'. For six years, as he kept writing, he directed several corporate films and had a career as assistant to the director for many feature and short films of all types.
