Christian Einshøj



Christian Einshøj (b. 1985) is a self-taught director and film editor. Born in Denmark, but grew up in a Norwegian suburb. He’s worked on several award winning Danish shorts, documentaries and features. He lives and works in Copenhagen. How I Live, as You Wanted to Know is his second short documentary.

One year after losing his wife, my grandfather met a woman online. To entice her to visit, we shoot a video of him presenting his home to her.





“My work has two strands: the first one deals with direct political images of violence, aggression and protest, mostly in Israeli-Palestinian context. It’s critique of news media, researching the complex, both realistic and surrealistic aspects of these images. The second strand of videos is more abstract and universal, dealing with cognitive, environmental and existential issues,” says the director about his works.
