Biography

Ilkka Rautio (b. 1979) is a Finnish film director, screenwriter and editor. He has studied film directing at Aalto University in Helsinki.
In his previous films The Elk Whisperer and The Treasured Waters, Ilkka has studied man’s relationship to nature.
His most recent documentary film Wonder World of Ice, is about globalisation in Finnish Lapland from the point of view of a reindeer and Chinese ice sculptors.
