Cristina Motta (Colombia)

Colombian born and Argentine naturalized. She has been professor and researcher on justice and gender. She made her transition into filmmaking in 2012. Director, producer and editor of Ezeiza (2013); 1982 (2015), award winner best documentary at Tripoli Film Festival; Into Thin Air (2018), award-winning ABD-SP Best Latin-American short at São Paulo International Short Film Festival. Surfaces (2020) premiered at Visions du Reel in April 2021, award-winning at Signes de Nuit Lisbon, 2022; award-winning in Rafma best Argentine short film category and honorable mention in best national short film category at FIDBA, 2022.

Produced From the River, a Price Claus-Goethe Institute funded project on documentary filmmaking and environmental justice. Cofounder of the cinematographic collective Gallito Films that has produced several documentary short films and curator of La imagen justa an online catalogue on art and gender.
