From 21 to 25 April, 5 selected titles including Auto*mate by Martin Marecek, Big John by Havard Bustnes, Hotel Sahara by Bettina Haasen, Survival Song by Yu Guangyi and Maggie in Wonderland by Mark Hammarberg, Ester M. Bergsmark, and B. "Maggie" Andersson are available for free streaming.


The five films of the Doc Alliance Selection 2010 have been announced and screened at Visions du Réel Nyon, the first Doc Alliance partner festival, last week. Recall last year’s selection right after the festival at DocAllianceFilms.com. From 21 to 25 April, 5 selected titles including Auto*mate by Martin Marecek (Czech Republic), Big John by Havard Bustnes (Norway), Hotel Sahara by Bettina Haasen (Germany), Survival Song by Yu Guangyi (China) and the winning documentary Maggie in Wonderland by Mark Hammarberg, Ester Martin Bergsmark, and Beatrice "Maggie" Andersson are available for free streaming.

Gulîstan, Land of Roses Wins Prestigious Doc Alliance Selection Award at Locarno IFF

On Sunday, August 7, young director Zaynê Akyol became the 9th winner of the unique Doc Alliance Selection Award that is awarded since 2008 by the international Doc Alliance platform. The Kurdish director based in Canada received the award during an award ceremony at Locarno IFF. Along with the award, the filmmaker also received financial support of 5.000 euro for her future film.
