The shortfilm BerlinBeirut by Myrna Maakaron, in German Competition 2004, is dealing with Berlin and Beirut as formerly divided cities. A contribution to the 20th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin wall and the general collapse of communist rule in Central Europe. The film was awarded the Main Prize German Competition Documentary Film 2004.

Don't Get Me Wrong on the other hand is the debut by Adina Pintilie, a true poetic master piece. The precise and yet highly sensitive potrait of psychatric hospital residents was awarded the Golden Dove at DOK Leipzig 2007.
