Recommend this film

Mother has literally drowned herself in alcohol, father is about to do so passing his time to the end in bed, sister is never at home… Anyone growing up in this environment doesn’t have a chance.

It seems to be different for Sascha, called San Sanych. From the day of his mother’s death, the camera follows him over the period of one year. The different locations presented during the four seasons of the year are those of his life: his home, that isn’t a home; school, with its over-worked teachers; the streets of his borough in Chisinau… Childhood is over.

There is also English version of this film on Doc-Air.
