A series of films by the pioneer of Czech cinematography, architect Jan Kříženecký (1868 – 1921), as composed and titled by film collector Bohumil Veselý (1903 - 1971) in the year 1968: Staroměstští hasiči (Old Town Fire Brigade, 1898); Hanácké banderium (The Haná Flag, 1898); Žofínská plovárna (The Žofín Lido, 1898); Dostaveníčko ve mlýnici (An Assignation in the Mill, 1898); Výstavní párkař a lepič plakátů (The Exhibition Sausage Seller and the Bill-poster) – 3 versions (1898); Smích a pláč (Laughter and Tears, 1898), Slavnostní vysvěcení mostu císaře Františka Josefa I. (Ceremony Consecration of the Bridge of Franz Joseph I, 1901); Jubilejní výstava obchodní a živnostenské komory (Jubilee Exhibition of the Trade Chamber, 1908); Slavnost otevření nového Čechova mostu (The Inauguration of the New Čech Bridge, 1908).
The film Smích a pláč (Laughter and Tears) features the actor, cabaret artist and singer-songwriter Josef Šváb-Malostranský, who helped Kříženecký to stage other acted scenes – Dostaveníčko ve mlýnici (An Assignation in the Mill) and Výstavní párkař a lepič plakátů (The Exhibition Sausage Seller and the Bill-poster).
