A chronicle of resourcefulness, a survival manual in a HIPC (Heavily Indebted Poor Country), Eugène Gabana Le Pétrolier tells the story of a poor youth in today's Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso. We are introduced to the daily life of Eugène, a small "affaire man" in his neighbourhood, who strives to make a living out of tiny bits and great wits.
