“1000 online, 700 offline!” A cry of victory resounded in the Prague office of the Dafilms team. All of the chairs turned at once to the source of this, at first incredible, piece of news. The three-voiced, almost unison “What?” confirmed the collective surprise. In nearly the ten years of the existence of DAFilms.com portal, we have managed to introduce 1700 films to viewers across the globe! An almost cosmic vision has become lived reality. Over 1000 documentaries have become part of the permanent offer of the online film catalogue, while 700 films were presented by the portal as part of the weekly film programmes available for free.

How to not get lost in the film database of more than 1000 items? Here are several easy solutions! You can search for archive films, discover new talents and admire the film art of documentary classics by means of interactive categories which can be easily combined. The films are categorized by the portal’s professional curators so you can be sure that the result of your search will be both surprising and of guaranteed quality. You can also rely on the supervision of experts and be lured to watch recommended films. And you should not forget the popular retrospectives of great classics which have found their own place on our website. The careful alphabetization of the films will also ensure your easy catalogue journey. If you are going to make a documentary film, we recommend its title start with a number. It will grant you a place in the first tabs of search systems.

The latest, brand new and completely original way of finding your way in the DAFilms catalogue consists in our personal team selection which we have prepared for you on the occasion of the celebration of the 1000th film available on our portal. It includes films which are related to our personal memories and festival trips. They are films that have become our inspiration and passion; and that we hope will make you happy for a while as well... Thank you for being with us!
