Das Filmfest presents quality documentaries in its popular section Die Doku this year as well. We offer their trailers as an invitation. What is more; you can also stream the cinema hit Meine Keine Familie. Until October 19 at DAFilms.com!
The powerful emotional film Meine Keine Familie has moved audiences across Europe and met with great success for instance at Karlovy Vary IFF. In the film, Austrian director Paul-Julien Robert reveals what life really looked like in one of Europe’ largest communes; the Actionists. Its members professed common ownership, free love and primarily a considerably controversial way of raising children. The director was one of them so the film is an autobiographical search for his biological father at the same time.
This year’s Das Filmfest, held in Prague from October 19 to 23 and in Brno from October 31 to November 3, presents a number of other powerful documentary films. Carl-Lutz – The Forgotten Hero tells the incredible story of a man who has saved over 60 000 Hungarian Jews during World War II. Dürrenmatt – A Love Story is an intimate film memorial of a man, thinker and painter. The documentary with the telling title Future Baby focuses on the future of human reproduction while Overgames tells of funny and serious games, the therapy of re-education and self-re-education as well as the history of the idea of permanent revolution.
