On November 15 & 16, Doc Alliance will offer a free stream of competitive films in two categories at CPH:DOX, Nov 6 - 15, 2009. The SHORT:DOX AWARD is a new online competition compromised of 10 short films, whose winner is chosen by the audience and is awarded 2,000 euros. In addition to www.docalliancefilms.com, the ten nominated short films can also be streamed and downloaded on the CPH:DOX website at www.cphdox.dk. The aim of SHORT:DOX AWARD is to test new and alternative distribution platforms for intelligent and artistically original short films, and to support the growth of documentary filmmaking. CPH:DOX has also launched an award for the Best Danish documentary, DANISH:DOX AWARD, which includes films that range from visual experiments to classic portrait films. The winner is granted 5,000 euros, which is kindly sponsored by the Danish Producers' Association.
