Doc Alliance Films is an online platform for the distribution of documentary and experimental films which was launched by a new initiative for documentary films called DOC ALLIANCE. Doc Alliance is an association which emerged as a result of the co-operative effort of six European key documentary film festivals - CPH:DOX Copenhagen, DOK Leipzig, FID Marseille, Jihlava IDFF, Planete Doc Film Festival and Visions du Réel Nyon. The aim is to promote creative documentary films on a general market that is less permeable to their circulation and commercialization, and systematically support the distribution of documentary films through their festival markets and online platform.
Please note that submitting your film to www.dafilms.com does not mean you are submitting it to the six Doc Alliance festivals. That needs to be done with each festival separately. Please see links to each festival website at section PARTNERS.
SELECTION CRITERIA
Very important feature of the Doc Alliance Films portal is its selectivity and dramaturgic profile that supports the diversity of documentary genre. Doc Alliance Films portal has been searching for creative documentaries which stand out because of their original and innovative narrative styles and points of view. The attention is paid not only to works by established masters; however the accent is also on documentaries by newcomers.
You are very welcome to submit your own film online by using our online entry form. To complete the registration of your film after filling the entry form, please send us a copy of your film on DVD to our Prague’s office:
