DOC ALLIANCE SELECTION // 2008

DOC ALLIANCE SELECTION represents five high-quality films, one selected by each of the Doc Alliance festival partners. The films tour at the five Festivals starting at VISIONS DU REEL Nyon. At the end of the year an international jury decides about the “Doc Alliance Award”. In 2008 the Award was handed over during the CPH:DOX Copenhagen. The five national markets support the films at their festivals and in their theatrical, TV and DVD distribution.

Everything Is Relative

"Everything is Relative" is a kaleidoscopic fusion of documentary sequences, archive material and tableau's of human beings. It seeks to portray how our reactions to challenges in life are relative to the conditions that guide our individual lives.

Crime News from the Alps

Chinese or Mongolian?

The French documentary film The Arrivals was screened at the Jihlava IDFF 2010. At the end of the festival, it was selected as the best film of the travelling Doc Alliance Selection, winning the prestigious Doc Alliance Award. After its successful festival tour, the film opens the doors to a place where the clash of civilizations is a daily routine to online spectators as well.
