All of us have to die. However, sometimes we may decide how to die. Various forms of dying: among euthanasia, hospital divider and hospice’s care.

Current medicine often assumes death to be its loss. The idea that power of science and technology should manage everything still remains. There’s no doubt, that medicine and pharmacology have prolonged our lives. Yet they have prolonged and changed also our dying. It is such a linear trap: more good is not necessarily always better, and life, prolonged technically, is not always humanly bearable. Thus we refer to the same medicine and pharmacology again to ask if we could “jump across” that uncomfortable and painful phase between life and death. Leave it out, omit it, be dead straight away if we decide on it. Euthanasia – right to suicide with assistance. And who else should kill us if not doctors – they do know how! However, dying might be a part of life, the same as saying goodbye before leaving is a part of visit. To disappear without saying goodbye means to leave something incomplete after oneself. What if there is possibility to die without pain, among relatives, wisely and resignedly?

A one hour long documentary film search through stories of dying people for various forms of what once awaits everybody of us.
