Alžběta Motlová, née Venhodová, was a maid for Czech writer Karel Čapek. She was the one who helped Čapek photograph the dog Dášeňka by chasing her around the yard; she was the one who set the table for important guests such as Czech president Masaryk or his son Jan. She very much liked her employer and experienced with him all the beautiful and critical moments that life brought.
