The most prominent member of Philippine independent film is Khavn de la Cruz, the radical warrior in the field of film language. This experimental filmmaker also heads the production company and digital film festival called .MOV. He is the author of rock operas, novels, and poems, and he plays the piano and sings in a band called The Brockas.

Can & Slippers serves as a two-minute example of the art of football while running through the narrow streets of the poor neighbourhood to the dump that surrounds it.
