(Un)usual Manhattan

The film is a story about architecture, the amazing lady architect Jadwiga Grabowska-Hawrylak, and how her work influences the next generations.

The story of the legendary Wroclaw “Manhattan” neighbourhood is divided into 16 parts-stories, each of which presents a different character.

We get to know Mrs Maria, who was once hiding 80 million zlotys in her flat. We also meet the famous photographer Chris Niedenthal – author of the iconic picture taken at “Manhattan”. Finally, we discover the very author of the legendary neighborhood – architect Jadwiga Grabowska-Hawrylak, whose courage and imagination left a permanent mark on the Wrocław landscape.
