A refugee from Czechoslovakia is forced to leave his country because of Soviet Union occupation in the 1960’s. Not only leaving behind his family he also leaves is forced to part with his girlfriend. More than thirty years later he tries to return to his homeland. He is dying and wants to reconnect with those he left behind before his final emigration. The return for refugee proves impossible, and the only possible way he can keep contact with his beloved is through sending her packs of photocopies from his private life. These photocopies form a tactile bond between the exiled lovers, that demonstrates the fragility of their physical ties but also how shared intimacy can exist in the form of a simple photocopy.
