Nazara

How does it feel to be looked at? The film explores the idea of gaze through a man who exhibits himself on a busy street.

A man sits by the side of a busy road near Central Delhi. Passersby find it difficult to ignore his presence. Most of them gaze at him. He wears a white paint on his face, adorns a bizarre look and exhibits himself on that road. The film is about his different experiences in that space relating to his interaction with different people. The road emerges as another character in the film. And how some of the threats faced by this man on that road are actually common to all of us. Through this set-up, the film is able to explore themes like social alienation and related existential issues.
