Otto Alder was born 1953 in Buhlbronn. 1986 - 92 he was programming and organising the International Trickfilm Festival Stuttgart and for many years he was the artistic director of the animation programm of the Leipzig Film Festival. 1995 founding member of the FANTOCHE Int. Animation Festival, Baden. Otto Alder is working as a curator for several international animation festivals and is teaching film history at the Lucern College of Art, HSLU. From 2007-2011 he also was co-director of the animation department at the HSLU.
