Barbora Kinkalova was born in Prague, studied Film and Tv Production at the Academy of Performing Arts (FAMU) and started to work as a production manager and executive producer on films. Mostly fiction films for theatrical release, one of them won the Best Czech Film award in 2008 (The Karamazovs, dir. Petr Zelenka, Czech- Polish coproduction, funded by Eurimages), but also documentaries. For 3 years, she worked as a head of production department in the National Film Archive. She lately attends to creative work as a director of ecologically focused films and videos in her production company Happy Film, which is focused on environmental topics — a documentary Happy Farmers, videos for Association of Local Food Initiatives, Foundation for Soil, etc. See more at www.happyfilm.cz
