Anka Schmid studied at the Deutsche Film- und Fernsehakademie Berlin (DFFB) and works as a filmmaker, video artist and media lecturer. Internationally renowned for her documentary films (“Wild Women – Gentle Beasts”), she has made films for the cinema and television as well as art videos and installations since 1986. She has been honoured with numerous awards and participated in solo and group exhibitions. She consolidates her artistic versatility in “Hairy” to create a multifaceted essay.
