Meredith Lackey is a filmmaker based in Los Angeles. Her films address how technology and power impact society. Her films have screened internationally at festivals including Sundance, NYFF52, Ann Arbor, Edinburgh, and FID Marseille. Her most recent short, Cablestreet, is a sci-fi doc that led her to far-out locations including an industrial cable-laying ship in the Gulf of Thailand. Cablestreet is produced by Field of Vision.
Meredith earned a BA in Philosophy and Media Production from Hampshire College, and an MFA in Moving Image from the University of Illinois Chicago. She is a 2018 NYFF Artist Academy Fellow, 2016 Sacatar Foundation fellow, 2014 Princess Grace Foundation-USA Honorarium winner, and 2014 recipient of the UFVA Carole Fielding grant.
