Haukur Hallsson (Iceland)

Haukur Hallsson (1989) is an Icelandic filmmaker. In 2016 he premiered his short documentary portrait of the renowned Czech filmmaker Karel Vachek at the 20th edition of Ji.hlava IDFF called What Is Behind the Canvas? - A Journey from Tišnov to Prague, or How Karel Vachek brought back his paintings. In 2021 his documentary MÍR: Hundred Years of Revolution was premiered at the 51st edition of IFFR in Rotterdam. Haukur has a master’s degree in directing from FAMU in Prague.
