Haukur Hallsson (Iceland)

Haukur Hallsson (b. 1989) is a filmmaker from Iceland. He premiered his short documentary portrait of the renowned filmmaker Karel Vachek at Ji.hlava in 2016 called “What Is Behind the Canvas? (A Journey from Tišnov to Prague, or how Karel Vachek brought back his paintings)”. He has made three fiction short films and is currently working on a documentary on a small communist organization in Iceland called MÍR that celebrated the hundredth anniversary of the Russian Revolution in 2017. Haukur is a directing student at FAMU.
