Born in 1978. Director, producer and founder partner of TERRATREME Filmes, Luisa Homem currently lives in Lisbon. She attended the degree in Communication Sciences - Cinema, at the Fa-culty of Social and Human Sciences, at the Universidade Nova de Lisboa and at the University of Paris 8. During the Program of Creativity and Artistic Creation, of the Calouste Gulbenkian Foun-dation, she participated in the documentary course of the Ateliers Varan. She directed art films in the FCSH Cinematographic Creation Laboratory, several institutional films, a TV series for RTP2 on Museums of Art in Portugal - A DAY AT THE MUSEUM. Co-directed the documentaries AS CIDADES E AS TROCAS, with Pedro Pinho, and SÃO TOMÉ: TRACKING THE NATURALISTS, with Tia-go Hespanha. She collaborated in the scriptwriting, art direction and editing of the feature film THE FACTORY OF NOTHING, directed by Pedro Pinho. As editor she collaborated with several directors, among them João Vladimiro, Inês Sapeta Dias, Leonor Noivo, Filipa Reis and João Miller Guerra, Frederico Lobo, Pedro Pinho, Tiago Hespanha, Leonor Teles, among others. Currently she is developing a film about the geographer, Suzanne Daveau, an argument for a first feature film, assisting in the writing of a new argument by Pedro Pinho, and is a co-director and teacher at the Cinema/Movement Image course at Ar.Co.
