Born 1981 in Werthenstein (CH), Corina Schwingruber Ilić lives and works in Lucerne (CH) and Belgrade (RS). Since 2010 she has been working as a freelance filmmaker, editor and lecturer. Corina is a co-founder of PRO SHORT (Swiss Short Film Association) and a member of the Swiss and European Film Academy. Her short films Tons of Passion (2011) and In the Woods (2017) became festival hits, All Inclusive (2018) was shown at over 250 festivals, including Venice, Toronto and Sundance, and won the Golden Dove at DOK.Leipzig and the Swiss Film Award, among many other prizes. Together with her partner Nikola Ilic, she has made a number of other award-winning films, such as Down on the Corner (2013), Just Another Day in Egypt (2015) and Dida (2021). Her latest short film, Been There* (2023), premiered in Corti d'Autori at Locarno, is still screening at numerous film festivals and won a candidacy for the European Film Award 2023. Corina is an alumna of the Locarno Filmmakers Academy 2017, the IDFA Academy 2018 and the Berlinale Talents 2023.
