Joaquín Maito (Argentina)

Joaquín Maito (1987) is a director, art director and photographer from Argentina. He has a degree in Audiovisual Arts from the UNA (National University of Art). Co-directed with Tatiana Mazú "The state of things" (2012). His debut film, "Owner's Portrait" (2018) premiered at Ji.hlava International Documentary Film Fest, where he was awarded Best First film. His films have also been selected at Mar del Plata International Film Fest, New Horizons, Margenes and Festifreak. He participated in 2018 of Berlinale Talents BA. He has received support to make his films of Biennial of Young Art of Buenos Aires, INCAA - National Institute of Cinema and Audiovisual Arts, National Fund of Arts and Cultural Patronage of BsAs.
