Levan Adamia (Georgia)

Born in 1972, Georgian citizen. Studied painting at Nikoladze Art School, Tbilisi Academy of Fine Arts and later in 1993-1997 film&television at Edinburgh University, graduated with a bachelor-of-arts degree. Since then Levan has made numerous documentary programmes and films for different TV channels. One of them, Kids Behind Bars, commissioned by BBC and Discovery channel, won him an Emmy for outstanding individual achievement in a craft, in 2002. In 2014 his film I am a little Georgian gained Commended Film award at Prix CIRCOM Regional. From 2000 to 2018 worked as a documentary film director at the Georgian Public Broadcaster, Channel 1. Currently a freelance filmmaker.
