Alberto Gottardo and Francesca Sironi are a duo of documentary directors and independent producers. They work together since 2015. Alberto's background is in photography - he studied at the City University of New York and at the master in Photography of the CFP Bauer in Milan; Francesca's in journalism - she writes on the weekly magazine L'Espresso, for which she signed dozens of cover stories. Their common research starts with "Follow the paintings", an investigative work on money laundering in the art market. Pitched at the Dig Awards, it's aired on Sky Atlantic and receives wide attention from the media, being later screened in museums such as the Maxxi in Rome. In the summer of 2018 they shoot "Almost Venice", with Marco Davolio as Dop. In 2019 they release "Marghe e Giulia", a documentary on two sisters and their faimily dealing with Youtube stardom in a small suburb. The work is selected at the "Visioni Italiane" festival of the Cineteca di Bologna and aired on Sky Atlantic. At the beginning of April 2020 they get inside the first hospital that has to face the impact of the pandemic in Europe, following the activity of Stefano Paglia. The result is "Lodi primo soccorso". They collaborate with IOSONOUNCANE for the original soundtracks.
